QNet Singapore now a member of HSIAS
QNet in Singapore chalked up another milestone by getting accepted as a member of Health Supplements Industry Association of Singapore (HSIAS), a trade association of health supplement companies in Singapore that works towards shaping policies and regulations of this industry. Comprising of leading health supplement companies in Singapore, HSIAS represents over 90% of the health supplement products marketed in the Island State and works towards promoting the interests of the industry by encouraging and advancing optimum community health by creating greater awareness of the role of improved nutrition and preventative approaches, including the appropriate use of health supplements.
QNet is already a member of the Direct Selling Association of Singapore (DSAS) which works closely with the HSIAS.
On the relevance of this membership into HSIAS, Director of Corporate Affairs, Zaheer Merchant said:
“The Health Science Authority of Singapore (HSA) is now working on The Asian Harmonisation Complementary Act which will cover the approval process of all health supplement products in Singapore under two categories – Health Supplements and Traditional Chinese Medicine. HSIAS will play a key role in shaping this Act with the HSA. As we are diversifying our product portfolio to include more health and nutrition related products, this membership into HSIAS, will provide us with better insights into the health supplement industry in Singapore and in the region.
